Four firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a fire at a multi-story condominium complex in Foster City on Sunday, according to the city’s police department.
According to police, a major fire was reported at the Spinnaker Cove condominium complex located at 815 Sea Spray Lane. While battling the six-alarm blaze, authorities said one firefighter was burned and another two were taken to the hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation.
A short time later, police said a fourth firefighter was hurt.
Police advised residents nearby to stay out of the area and close their windows due to heavy smoke. All residents were safely evacuated, and the police department said the Red Cross is at the clubhouse to help anyone displaced or anyone who needs assistance.
The police department notes no injuries were reported during the incident.
Authorities also advised to expect road closures nearby.
