Flash flood warnings that were issued for parts of Connecticut on Monday morning have expired, but showers and thunderstorms will stick around for the rest of the day.
A flash flood warning was in effect for Hartford, Fairfield, Litchfield and Tolland counties at various points throughout the morning. All of those have since expired.
Heavy rain and gusty winds are possible in some cities as we go through the day.
Several trees have come down across the state and multiple roads are closed.
Tuesday will be nice with sunshine before clouds return on Wednesday.
There are more rain chances in the forecast for the second half of the week.
