Carson Hansen spent his time at Iowa State gaining the top spot the old school way. He got 22 carries for 67 yards his freshman season, 151 carries for 752 yards his sophomore season, and, by his junior year, he took over the starting role, starting nine of the Cyclones’ 12 games last year. He was named Academic All-Big 12 twice while at Iowa State, and once to the Doak Walker Award Watch List.
Hansen is basically guaranteed the starting spot at Penn State for his senior year, with Ohio State transfer James Peoples and Quinton Martin expected to share the rest of the carries.
