Kalshi, one of the fastest growing companies in the world (but also one of the most controversial) calls itself a prediction market, even when many consider it a gambling site.
Kalshi was banned in Nevada, a move that the company says was wrong. Kalshi is where millions of people go to place what it calls “trades,” what some call “bets” on events. The company makes money by charging a transaction fee on every trade.
Kalshi is currently being sued by four states, but it’s also wildly successful, as it was being valued by investors at $22 billion as of Wednesday.
