Penn State is a heavy favorite to make it out of non-conference play unscathed. The Nittany Lions opened as a 39.5-point favorite over Buffalo, its final non-conference opponent of the regular season.
Buffalo is off to a 1-1 start after sneaking past FCS Albany in week one, 21-17, before falling to Florida International, 33-20, on Saturday. This will be Penn State’s third meeting with Buffalo. The Nittany Lions hold a 2-0 advantage after wins in 2015 and 2019 against the Bulls.
Penn State was a 23.5-point favorite in its first two games of the season. They easily covered in a week one blowout of Marshall, 45-0. However, they were not able to cover against Temple as the Owls scored in the closing moments of the game for a 27-9 final.
Penn State will host Buffalo this Saturday, with kickoff at noon on BTN.
