A member of the UConn cheerleading team was injured during practice Thursday evening according to university officials.
UConn said the student-athlete fell during practice at the UConn Volleyball Center and was treated at the scene by paramedics and firefighters from the UConn Fire Department.
The student was then transported by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital.
Officials said the student was conscious when taken from the scene.
No additional details about the student’s condition have been released.
UConn officials said no further information is available at this time.
