The project described in the article “State leaders seek ideas on transit development” reads like yet another expensive, ill-conceived, wasteful use of taxpayer funds (Star-Advertiser, Sept. 14). A huge amount of money is appropriated without reasonable questions being answered. The Department of Health is pulled into the mess because it has relevant expertise, but hasn’t agreed to anything yet. The trip or trips have no itineraries that can be shared. Who will go on these trips also cannot be shared. Finally, the unreasonable October timeline is added.
