The deputy chief of the Naugatuck Police Department was arrested on Friday, Naugatuck police said.
Deputy Chief Daniel Norck was placed on paid administrative leave after his arrest, according to police.
He will be on administrative leave while the internal affairs investigation is completed, police said.
No further details were immediately provided. NBC Connecticut has reached out to the Thomaston Police Department and has not yet heard back.
