As annual pass holders for years, we finally gave up. Then we just started taking trips once a year. Now we are down to every few years. Walt Disney always wanted to be a place that all families could and enjoy time together. It was supposed to be a welcoming, wholesome place, a place you could take your family with out fear that they would be exposed to things that were not so wholesome. Well Disney lost its way for sure. I get that not every family can afford a full Disney experience vacation, however there were ways to still go. You could stay off property, eat breakfast before you went to the park, bring snacks……. Now just getting into the park is over so many people’s budget. Add on the need for the lightening lane to be able to ride enough to make the trip worth it, and it just becomes too much. I miss the regular fast pass system, it made it equal for all instead of only those who had the money. While I love Disney World with all my heart and cherish each trip we take, I just cannot spend that amount of money each year. For what we spend we could visit just about anyplace we could think of. It’s sad that it has come to this. I don’t think this was Walt’s vision.
