Very sad. Met my husband the summer of 1961 at the dance in the park. It was DJed by Larry Brown from WPEN AM. It was my Happy Place. My friends and I were there any night there was dancing and so were all the teens from almost every town in Camden County. Lots from Philly, too. Live entertainment.. after marriage we took our kids there for fireworks. Never saw anyone misbehave. It was the best of South Jersey. This is the second time it's been up for sale, lately. Breaks my heart. The rides were great, also. But mainly a really good place to meet a lot of really good teenagers.
