According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, around 11 p.m., officers found the victim on the front lawn of a home. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Investigators determined the victim was killed during a confrontation that occurred as he was returning to the property, where he knew the family who lived there. Small said police were unsure whether the victim also lived at the home.

Police said on Friday that approximately five suspects arrived at the location in a stolen brown 2017 Infiniti Q50 with New Jersey license plate N68-UBC.

Four armed men got out of the car to ambush the victim, officials said, while the driver remained inside the vehicle. Three of the men carried out the attack, while the fourth appeared frightened and retreated without participating, officials said.

Investigators recovered at least 17 spent shell casings at the scene.

The vehicle was recovered the next day in the area of 9th and Poplar streets.

The City of Philadelphia is offering a reward of $20,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction for every homicide case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or 3335.
