FC Dallas is looking for their first win since returning from the MLS World Cup Break.
They host Queretaro FC in their first Leagues Cup game of the season. The Leagues Cup is an international World Cup-style competition between MLS and Liga MX, the Mexican top soccer league. The tournament starts Tuesday, Aug. 4, and a champion is crowned in Sept.
Queretaro FC is coming off a 3-2 win in Liga MX.
Dallas has only allowed three goals in three games since returning, but has only scored two of their own.
Dallas (7-5-6) has not scored since the first game back from the break against the Portland Timbers, a 2-2 draw.
Dallas remains sixth in the Western Conference through 18 matches. They’re in the final third of nine straight matches away from their true home, Toyota Stadium in Frisco.
Dallas lost its July 15 friendly against Orlando City SC 2-1 at the newly constructed Mansfield Stadium.
Dallas travels to Austin for a game on Aug. 16. Dallas does not return to Toyota Stadium until Sept.
Toyota Stadium is currently undergoing renovations to increase seating and add a partial roof. Those are expected to be completed in 2028.
Texas Health Mansfield Stadium is kicking off its inaugural season with a bang. Czechia was based there for training for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup, and the USWNT is playing there in November for the CONCACAF W Tournament, which will be held entirely in Texas.
