
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is outpacing challenger Councilmember Nithya Raman in campaign fundraising, according to a local election finance tracker.
Bass, who is running to return as mayor, garnered more than $3.7 million in campaign fundraising, while Raman, who is seeking to unseat the incumbent candidate, raised more than $1.1 million.
The councilmember reported $170,000 in campaign contributions during the most recent reporting period, while the mayor reported $510,000.
The latest figures are part of the first fundraising campaign since the primary election, where both candidates led the pack of 14 candidates to advance to the November runoff. During the primary election, Bass earned 34.27% of participating voters’ support while Raman earned 29.02%.
