
A man is behind bars after he was accused of voyeurism in a bathroom at a Walmart in Homestead, authorities said.
Oscar Chamizo-Martin, 28, was arrested Monday on one count of video voyeurism, an arrest report said.
The alleged incident happened at the Walmart at 14325 Southwest 268th Street.
According to the report, the victim said he was taking a bathroom break and in one of the stalls when he noticed someone reaching over the stall with an iPhone taking pictures.
The victim came out of the stall and confronted Chamizo-Martin, who was the only other person in the bathroom, the report said.
Chamizo-Martin left the store but returned after authorities contacted his employer.
He denied taking any pictures or video of the victim, but he had a cellphone with an orange cover as described by the victim, the report said.
Authorities also obtained surveillance video that showed Chamizo-Martin entering the restroom before the victim, and showed the victim leaving minutes later visibly upset and calling for his manager.
Chamizo-Martin was arrested and booked into jail, and remained behind bars on an immigration hold, records showed. Attorney information wasn’t available.
