In a quick turn of events, Bayern Munich announced the loan deal of Arijon Ibrahimović. The 20-year-old will spend the rest of the 2026/27 season with fellow Bundesliga club Augsburg:

The Bavarians initially put their faith in the former Heidenheim loanee by signing him to a longer contract, keeping him at the club until 2028. However, his performances during the preseason appeared to have changed the front office’s view of him and instead announced that he could go out on loan.

The player, irritated by the statements made by the club, eventually caved in and agreed to a loan deal within Germany. The kid is still young but fresher, more dynamic players like Maycon Cardozo and Tim Binder jumped ahead of him in the pecking order, so a loan deal elsewhere is the best move for Ibrahimović.

Whether the club still plans with him for the long term is another story, but hopefully he can prove his worth with Augsburg.
