SoA Lecture: Isidoro Michan-Guindi | "Building Species"

Isidoro Michan-Guindi Building Species Thursday, September 17, 2026 6pm, Betts Auditorium School of Architecture Princeton School of Architecture welcomes Isidoro Michan-Guindi (M.Arch ’18) for a lecture on the work of his Mexico City–based studio, Taller Isidoro Michan-Guindi, founded in 2019. Born in Mexico City in 1990, Michan-Guindi earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University in 2015 and his Master of Architecture from Princeton University in 2018. He lives and works in Mexico City, where his practice encompasses a wide range of scales and forms. In this lecture, Michan-Guindi will present the body of work developed by his studio since its founding, with projects ranging from a door handle and a self-propelling stool to a house and a tower. Together, these works reflect his interest in an architecture that is “half building, half something else,” and explore the possibilities that emerge between architecture, objects, and other forms of making.
