It was a nail-biting Week 1 for both the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions, who both came away with narrow victories in very different fashion. Josh Allen led the Bills to a 36-31 shootout over the vaunted Houston Texans defense, while Jahmyr Gibbs’ big day almost went to waste when the Lions blew a 21-0 lead to the New Orleans Saints at home. Detroit stopped New Orleans on a game-winning two-point conversion to preserve a 31-30 overtime victory.
