Seahawks vs Cardinals: 4 game predictions for Week 2 showdown

The Seattle Seahawks opened the season with a 13-10 victory at home in a Super Bowl rematch against the New England Patriots. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Sam Darnold was injured on the first drive and Drew Lock led the Seahawks to a comeback victory. Darnold was already ruled out of this week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Even without Sam Darnold, Seattle is currently a  4.5-point favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook. It will be the first NFC West matchup of the year, so Drew Lock will be counted on to get the division race started off on the right foot.

Let’s get to this week’s predictions, starting with one for the tiny beaks in Arizona.

Trey McBride 8+ receptions (+140)

McBride is one of the best tight ends in the NFL, and arguably the best player on the Cardinals. He began his 2026 campaign with 9 receptions in the opener. The last three times McBride has played the Seahawks, he’s tallied 9, 7, and 12 receptions. I expect Jacoby Brissett to get the ball out quickly to try and mitigate the pass rush with McBride being a main beneficiary.

Jadarian Price 100+ yards (+550)

Price looked great in his Seahawks debut on limited carries eclipsing 50 yards at over 5.0 YPC. With more opportunities, he should do even better this week. He’ll still be splitting time in the backfield with George Holani and Emmanuel Wilson, but I think Price will get at least 15 carries this week and crack the 100-yard mark for the first time in his NFL career on the back of a few explosives.

Drew Lock passing TD under 1.5 (-200)

In five of his last seven starts, Lock has only thrown one TD pass. Add in last week’s game where he played all but one drive, and that makes it 75% of the time with just one passing TD. This feels like a game where Seattle will try to pound the rock and might stall out in the red zone. I could be totally wrong and Lock will air it out like crazy. In fact, I would be happy if that was the case…I just don’t think it’s all that likely, and Lock will once again have a lone passing TD.

Scoring under 41.5 (-120)

Continuing on with my last point, I would take the under for points here. Recent history tells me that the teams would’ve hit the over each of the last three times they played. However, that was without a quarterback for the Seahawks and a potentially more conservative game plan. I also think the Seahawks defense is going to clamp down on the Cardinals offense. This will probably be an uncomfortable game for much of the first three quarters, finishing somewhere around 20-13 for the final score, securely in the under category.
