Tractor-trailer plows into garages after colliding with SUV that ran stop sign

A tractor-trailer plowed into two garages in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, after colliding with an SUV that ran a stop sign.

NBC10 affiliate WGAL said the incident happened the morning of Wednesday, August 5, at the intersection of Route 72 and Thompson Avenue.

Surveillance video captured the moment a tractor-trailer and SUV collided, sending the tractor-trailer careening off the road, where it slammed into two garages. Both drivers were taken to the hospital.

Several parked vehicles were also reportedly hit and damaged.

Pennsylvania State Police said the SUV had failed to stop at a posted stop sign. Route 72 had been closed in both directions between Mountville and Jonestown roads, while police investigated.
